Barwicks - a family owned business
2008:
Barwick's now employs 26 staff & has over 50 product lines. Barwick's intend to continue leading
the way in the wholesale & retail landscape industries.
July - Barwick's employe a northern Tasmanian Sales Representative.
April - Barwicks purchase a new mobile Trommel Screen 3 way pass to keep up with screening demands.
March - Barwick's win a major mulching contract at the Nystar Zinc plant. Due to this contract
they were able to aquire their fith mulcher (a CBI 1050hp mulcher).
2007:
In 2007, Barwicks open their second site at Mornington. Employing a further 8 people.
Between 2004 and 2007 the product Lines dramatically increase from 14 to 45.

2004:
In 2004, BG & JM Barwicks PTY LTD change their trading name to Barwick's Wholesale/Retail Landscape Supplies.
They also purchase their fourth mulcher, a 680hp RedBack wood waste mill aswell as new mobile vibrating screening plant,
to keep up with an increase in production.
They employ their daughter, Amanda Baines to be head house & office cleaner.
Product Lines increase to 14.

1998:
The company purchases their third mulcher, a 480hp Van Gelder wood waste mill and start winning contracts to mulch
green waste at council refuse tips.
Barry & Jan's youngest son, Tyronn starts work in the company office.
Product Lines increase to 10.

1993:
Barwick's purchase their second mulcher, a high speed tub grinder. The company believes this to be a fantastic investment, but it quickly turns sour when transporting between Launceston and Hobart when a wheel falls off. Things go from bad to worse with the tub grinder and the manafacturers agree to a settlement.
1990:
B&J Barwick becomes BG & JM Barwicks PTY LTD

1988:
B&J Barwick's purchase their first shredder for processing Gum bark.
Barry & Jan's eldest son, Scott finishes school and starts working as a yard production manager.
1983:
B&J Barwick's win the contract for the removal and sale of the pine bark from the ANM paper mill, but loses the
transport contract for the Coal ash to Brambles.
They also purchase Barry's fathers Loam 7amp; manure business which expands the product lines to 6.
1977:
Barry & Jan Barwick start their business, operating under the trading name B&J Barwick.
During this time they undertake contract work at the ANM paper mill (boyer) transporting coal ash to the mill tip.
Product Lines increase to 10.
